This is my place on county road 19. The only existing building left is the old original house. The small silo fell down 3 years ago. Many storms hit this place. My house was moved in later.
Hi Myron, thanks for sharing your memories of the place on County Road 19! It sounds like your house has quite a history. Do you happen to remember any specific storms that hit the area back then? If you don't mind sharing, what kind of farming have you done on the property? We'd love to learn more about the changes that have taken place since the 1969 photo.
There was a tornado in 94-95 and it dropped the tall Hanson silo. I had started trying to repair the chicken house but it was gone, along with the milk house. I owned it since 85 and the barn and other buildings were already gone. The square house and original are still there and the double garage was added around 2000. 2014 saw ice cube size hail damaging trees and the home. It’s still a work in progress. I made the pasture for hay once and now let the neighbor keep cows there.
