Dick Schmidt farm (not sure of last name spelling) on the south side of county 14 between county 17 and county 79. Sadly enough, today it is all gone. As I understand, the Shakopee Mdewakanton tribe owns the property today and it is not being built on.
That was my grandparents farm, Sebastian and Anna Schmitz, when I was growing up. Upon Sebastian Schmitz's death, the farm was sold to Richard Schmitz, who ran the farm until he sold it to the Shakopee Mdewakanton tribe.
