House on north end of Big Watab Lake (Lilac road)...this one has since been replaced by a larger house.

This home was moved from the Twin Cities to this location by Edward Schoen, possibly in the early 1970's. I believe that originally, this land was part of the Miele farmstead acreage (directly East or right in this photo). The building on the left was an original machine shed.

My mother just clarified some details about my earlier comment. The farm to the East (now the Borgert Farm) was not owned by the Meile's (sp?) The farm was owned by the Schmidt brothers who also owned quite a few businesses in Avon MN. Mom thought that one of the Schmidt sisters was married to Pete Meile and that they ran the farm for quite a few years. She is not sure of the year that the Schmidt brothers sold the farm to Edward Schoen. Edward Schoen eventually sold the farm to the Borgert family. The site of this house was originally the site of the ice house for the dairy farm.

Gene and Janet (DeZurik) Faulhaber purchased this home from Edward Schoen in 1990.
