I was born in the farmhouse on 2/14/1933. I lived on this family farm through age 21 when I began 45 years of service as teacher in Lutheran schools. My dad lived here with my mother until he died in 1961. My mother moved to Truman MN and she sold the farm shortly thereafter. After passing through the hands of several owners, the farmstead buildings have all been removed and little is left to identify the site as a flourishing farmstead in the past.

Howard Wessel was my mothers youngest brother. He Passed away in February of 2017. I remember playing on the property as a child before my grandfather Passed in 1961

This was my grandma and grandpa Wessel's home, my father Loren Wessel's parents. I remember more about this farm when my Uncle Rein and his family moved there, sometime after my grandfather died and my grandma moved to town. I was only 4 yrs old when my grandfather Wessel was called Home to Heaven.
