Elementary school in Montrose. Three classrooms in the 60’s.

Yes I went to this school for six years, I went to first grade in 1965 yes that is true when I started going to school here there were only three class rooms, if I remember correct after third grade 1967they made it a six class room school.

My dad went there the first year it opened and I went there the last year it was open in like 1975.

I have spent 80 percentnof my life in montrose and that's my hometown and where I grew up and I always saw this school and it was facinating. At ome point in my adult hood I lived half a block away and could see it from my front yard. Ive heard so many rumors about who owns it and what they are restoring and remodeling it to be. The most popular things ive heard from others on what the guy that owns it now is remodeling it to be is that hes making a motorcycle museum. However hes been working on it for about 10 years maybe more and I have no idea what's true and whats not. Id love to know and see the inside!
