I barely remember the school looking like this. Looks a lot different now. In the early 70's the brick building on the end was torn down. The school district has grown a lot over the years.

I remember going to the nurses office and the cot was under the stairway of the brick high school building. When the the bell rang and kids started running up and down the steps dust and plaster came down too. I think it was the next year they tore it down. My grandparents attended school there, mother and aunt. The "old gym" with the arc roof.

The Winfield Makin Methodist church is on the bottom and the sunday school brick building, then the parsonage on the left of that.
