My great, great grandfather Frank (& Mollie) Pence lived there; the barn was built in 1906 & Granddad Frank said "the barn will build the house" they built the barn & in 1911 then built the house. The barn is no longer standing but the house is lived in by my brother James Blaine's family & in the house basement etched in concrete is "1911" the year the house was built. We moved to this farm about 1977 & as i study this picture i am enthralled at all the visual cues that remind me of a great time growing up on this pretty little farm.
