This is what was my Grandparents farm in Sile, NM. I believe they purchased it in the 1920s. It is about 26 acres of farmland with a residence, corals, an orchard, a huge Adobe barn,a slaughterhouse, an excellent 90’ deep water well, irrigated alfalfa fields and access to the Rio Grande River. There is an adjacent 6 +/- acres of farmland that was part of the farm. My Grandfather registered his brand on October 21st 1921 and started raising beef cattle. That makes our operation 100 years of continuous cattle ranching and farming this year. They also had a 420+ acre Ranch at Tent Rocks that supported livestock and farming as well. This is all still in the family to this day. The Adobe barn and most of the outbuildings are still there but a lot has changed. The house is much bigger. There is another house where the trailer house is. Stone walls and terraces have been built. There is another hay barn where the big coral was. Not the whole story but in a nutshell.
