This was where County Wide Waste started and operated until 1987 when they built a shop behind this location. My dad worked here for many years. They were later bought out by BFI Waste Systems around 1993 or 1994.They continued to stay in business in Peachland until 2002 when they relocated to the landfill in Polkton, where they operate today. The house in the picture belonged to Mrs. Nezzie Parson, who was the secretary/dispatcher for County Wide Waste at the time of this photograph.
