This is the first house my grandparents (Noah Daniel and Roxie Griffin) lived in after they were married. I believe they might have lived at his parents' place for a brief time just after they married, then Papa bought his own farm, but I'm not absolutely positive about that. But this was fairly early on in the marriage, so the house dates from at least the early 1930s. I'm also not sure if Papa built this one or if it was already there. By the late 1960s until the late 80s or early 90s, it was used as housing for the family of Colon, Anna, and Louise Perry, who tenant-farmed with my grandparents. The big lot to the east of the house was often used as a large garden in those days. The shelter in the back of the house was used as a garage.
