This was the home of my grandparents who have passed away now. This was before I was born and not long after this picture was taken the front (old house) was torn down. A section which became the kitchen was built connecting the trailer and the back of the old house. That's what i remember as a child. It's been torn down now and the land sold. What a beautiful memory for our family to have.

This was where I grew up with my grandparents. Buttermilk Branch was what local folks called this area on Maness Road... There is a Creek or "Branch" down below the house. I was 3 years old i when this was taken depending on the time of year. I still remember the house as it is in this photo but shortly after this was taken, the old part of the house in the front was torn off and a section connecting the trailer in the back to what is the middle in this picture was added to create a new kitchen. The old middle section which had been a kitchen and two bedrooms became a living room and two bedrooms... and a front and side porch were added. You can still see the old outhouse in the back and the four yellow bell bushes in the front... this place wasn't much of a house by today's standards but it was most certainly a home! Even though all that's pictured here is gone now, I pray one day I will be able to buy it back and build my home there...
