The old Greenville drive in theater.

This is the Tice Theater on Highway 11 South Greenville.
The entrance to the theater originally was on Reedy Branch Road (top of photo) and switched over when the Highway expansion was completed in the early 80s. The law required theaters that screened R rated movies face away from the road, hence the screen location. That became a problem for traffic when the highway was completed and now faced the screen.

The area behind is now home to the expanded Pitt Community College campus; directly to the left of the screen is now the Whitley Building. Top center of the photo is the location of the E&J Warren Building.
The theater was demolished not long after this photo was taken, I believe in 1988 or 89. This is now the location of a commercial lease buildings comprised of restaurants, shops and a bar.
