Big Daddy's airfield. Notice the Martin Matador missile on the upper, left hand side of the picture. The runway in the upper, right side of picture. I was told that a sandwich shop was located there and pilot's would fly in for a snack. I think the airfield ceased operation in the late '70's. The missile is still there. Many maps show a runway about a 1/4 mile east of there.

Location is 4.6 miles east of Pikeville, NC.
