This is our family farm at 1950 Beery Road, Elida, OH 45807. It was purchased in the 1930's and held 3 generations, including my great grandfather Cloyd Patton, grandfather Ross Patton, and father James E. Patton. James moved off of the farm in the 1970's but still owns a portion of it, where he runs a machine shop. The plowable land sold to Merle Miller in the early 2000's, and the house to Ashlyn Cottrell the same year. By the late 1970's, the smaller house on the east side of the lane had burned down and only the larger house remained. It too was mostly gutted by fire around 2015 and has been drastically remodeled inside and out. The barn and two small white buildings still stand. The little building in the trees across from the barn has since been torn down by the Cottrell family.
