57620 Perkins Ridge Rd. - This was my Grandparents, Jonas and Ethel Perkins, farm. They moved here shortly after they were married in 1912. The had three sons, all born in that house; Uncle Starling, Stanley, who died at the age of five during the flu pandemic of 1918, and Dad (Roland Perkins). The house was built over a log cabin, and was razed in '97. Dad and Uncle Starling went off to WWII from here. Uncle Starling to the South Pacific, and Dad to General Patton's 3rd. Army and The Battle of the Bulge in Germany. The debris on the left was what was left after the barn collapsed due to old age. Someone jacked up the camper and cut the frame away (Possibly someone used it to make a hay wagon. My Uncle Clarence Perkins, who had a farm just down the road, knew who the thief was, but wouldn't tell me because he feared what I would do :-) I own the farm now, and spend as much time as I can enjoying this beautiful place that is so full of wonderful memories.

This used to be the family farm until my brother took advantage of my Dad's health while in the hospital. While heavily medicated Dad signed the deed with an X. He never ever signed anything with an X. Dave had his friend (Redd), who coincidentally is a notary with him at the hospital to notarize. When my sister Donna and I found out we confronted Dad and didn't remember signing and told us to "fix it, make it right". He died shortly after and went to his death knowing what Dave did. My Mom refused to have it turned around saying she would not take any of her children to court. So there you have it. He has since become a millionare with the fracking income and refuses to share with my sister and me.
