I grew up in this house. None of the buildings, including the house, are there anymore
To my knowledge this house and surrounding 36+ acres was originally owned by the Augsburger family of St. Clair Township. Sold to Everett C. and Mary L. (Jones) Powell. The house seen is partly log cabin. Unknown who originally built the home.
Outlots along Taylor School Road and Cotton Run Road were sold to Everett and Mary's children and their spouses -- Lowell and Mary Lou (Powell) McClothin, Carl and Delores (Powell) Treadway, and Everett W. Powell. Lowell and Mary Lou built a home on Taylor School Road. Carl and Delores also built a home on Taylor School Road. Everett C. and Mary Powell built a home for themselves on Taylor School Road as well, along side of their children. Everett W. Powell purchased the land and farm and built a home on Cotton Run Road just to the south of the farmhouse long gravel driveway. He later built a home on Taylor School Road and built a larger home there along side of his parent's home.
The farm house was then rented to the Kidd family for many years. They were one of a couple of families who lived in the home.
In 1998, the farm house and land was sold after the death of Everett W. Powell. The home and barns were all razed to the ground by the new owner.
