Plattsburg High School

In 1950, Plattsburg High School absorbed students from some of the local schoolhouses [really] while Northeastern High School was in the works - by 1952, the HS students went to Northeastern, and Plattsburg became a grade school. The building condition deteriorated, and in 1972, the state intervened and had it closed. The building is in private hands and still exists, though in disrepair.

and the building is almost gone, now - in early 2025, demolition began due to the high liability insurance, risk of break-ins, and general state of disrepair
