just south of Tremont City on Upper Valley Pike. Silos and adjacent buildings are gone. Building across the street is now a hair salon.
I lived in this house ( 5577 Upper Valley Pike) during the years of 1980-1982 when I was in high school at Northwestern. Loved living here and hanging out with the Tremont kids and going to the Friday night auction. I was also a newspaper carrier.
I dated a girl that lived there in the early 80's, on our first date I found her under a sheet (long story).
The place still looks about the same except the elevator is gone and the old feed store has been used for many things over the years.
Ever wonder how different lives would have been had she stayed under the sheet?
The idea of a girl hiding under a sheet on a first date should have told me something about her, but that wasn't the case back then. Persistence pays off in a lot of ways, but that night led to many, many years of heartache. Neither of them deserved that. It was the typical tale of two crazy teens.
Michele, disregard my comments earlier. Someone told me about this site so I was checking it out. Alot of neat pics, I could spend hours going through all the places I have lived and visited.
As far as your question? I use to think about how life would have been if I would have just walked away and I'm betting you have too. My life would have gone on and I would have met another Michele eventually, I guess in a way, I did.
No harm done. I canβt be hurt anymore. Live well, be happy.
Right back at ya. Hope everything is well, enjoy your upcoming birthday!
Thank you. I hope you enjoyed yours.
