This is 7980 North River Road, Yellow Springs (mailing purposes as to why it's Yellow Springs), Ohio, 45387. I grew up here from 1986 until 2002. My parents and younger brother and sister currently reside here. Both of my children are now experiencing it as well. I love this house and property. My younger sister and brother were born here. The large barn is now gone, torn down due to ownership exchanging from Mr. McCoulaugh from Washington state to Mr. Bexley (Springfield airport, etc.) and the new owners not wanting to pay property tax. The barn was my sanctuary. I loved it. The river is so close to play in. The house was practically a mansion. A sitting room, living room, spare room, grand hallway with spiral staircase, bathroom, kitchen, laundry room and back steep staircase are all downstairs. Upstairs is 4 bedrooms, 1 nursery room off of the one bedroom (my father's current ham radio room) that has a very neat window through to the bedroom - this is why I think it's originally a nursery, and a bathroom upstairs. 2 of the bedrooms are huge. One normal sized and one regular sized. Off of the largest bedroom is a balcony (seen under the a and l on the watermark). There is also a very spooky basement. There is a great porch on the front, a kitchen porch and a back enclosed porch. The other barn is my dad's garage. In 1987, my family had just moved here. Thank you for sharing this photo. This is the old homestead. May it never fall.
