Chester Ray and Mary McElhaney with Tommy Ray and Linda McElhaney purchased this farm in 1975. We remodeled the down stairs for Ray and Mary, then we added a kitchen, bath, with two bedrooms upstairs for Tom, Linda and their first child . The farm was 54 acres.

I was four years old when we moved into this place with Larry and Tammy McElhaney (parents) and my little bother Derek McElhaney. The year was 1984/85 and we lived there till 1989 and then returned in 1991 until 2003. In my lifetime Ray and Mary lived upstairs and then downstairs, a whole wing was added (garage and upstairs living room, the side of the tractor garage was torn down, and in the year 2002 the barn was completely dismantled. The farm had been reduced to 5.8 acres.
