This was the Doyle & Hazel Humphrey farm. In the summer of 1977 a tornado touched down with only the tail of it hitting the homestead. the house was left standing with the windows blown right into the house. The big white barn along with 40ft silo went down with two tractors and a corn planter along with a hay wagon on the north side, on the south side was a boat and a car.All the white buildings were eventually torn down leaving the house standing alone until a new garage/ barn was built at the east side of the house around a year later. Then around 2007 or 2008 the garage/barn and the house caught fire with both being a total loss.
