This is the Lincoln Lodge in the area of 4950 West Broad St. It is all gone now and has been redeveloped into a business zone.
Much of the main lodge building is still there tucked behind the Thorntons gas station and the auto supply store. It is now a senior living facility.
In Feb.1963,Franklin Jr. High Basketball team won the South Section Championship....we were rewarded with a Saturday afternoon smorgasbord at "The Lincoln Lodge".It was wonderful! we went through the doors to the indoor swimming pool and laughed our heads off with our bellies so full of the best food we had ever eaten! I will never forget it!!
