Rocky Fork Truck Stop
My parents were the 1st operators of Rocky Fork Truck Stop. 1953 was the year. I was 2 or 3 yrs old and my older brother. Mom ran the restraurant and Dad ran the garage and gas station. Only had it 1 yr because Mom said it was no place to raise a family. We lived in a small trailer out back, campers are bigger and nicer nowadays. Dad's dream was to start a golf course later. All came to be by someone else. New owners have run it into the ground as they have done with all their business.
We lived in one of the trailers behind the Truck Stop in 1973. Gene Mustard owned it and Bob Smith worked for him. They were always so busy. Ray Mustard lived in a trailer behind there also.Good times there.
