This is my Great Grandma and Grandpa Sergents trailer. It is still in our family today and my Grandma and Grandpa live there now. My great grandparents had 13 children, and every Christmas all of them and their families would travel from all over to cram ourselves into this tiny little trailer and celebrate the holidays together. Even though there were too many of us in the house, it never felt overcrowded. It always just felt like in that exact moment, this is where we are all supposed to be. The house was so full of love that it probably could’ve burst, but atleast we were all together. Much has changed since this picture was taken, and nothing around it is the same, but one thing that doesn’t change is that every time I think of being a little girl at Christmas, I remember this trailer. I remember the love. I remember my great grandma, silently watching all of us from her favorite chair or spot at the kitchen table. My Aunt Mary and my Mamaw doing dishes or packing up leftovers for people to take home, a NASCAR race on in the background. This trailer might not look like much to others, but to my family the walls of this place that hold so much of our memories are worth more than gold.
