We lived in this house when I was a boy. My grandparents moved there in 1908. We lived in the front of the house and my grand parents in the back. I remember more about this farm before 25 years ago than since. There used to be a combination machine shed corn crib on the North side of the barn---the farm is on the South side of the road. There used to be a large chicken house east of the barn. The pole in the center area used to be a large round two story martin bird house. There used to be a wind mill on the east end of the barn to pump water into the large tank at that end of the barn. And of course there was "J. Y. Smucker" painted on the front of the barn.
There have been other changes that are too difficult to describe---the peach orchard, the lane to drive the cattle, the garden, and the apple orchard, It is said my great grand mother kept bees in the apple orchard. Maybe this is more than you wanted to know.
