In the 1960s, this area was all farms. Central Ave was then called the Chicago Pike, and had white obelisques with black lettering demarking the roads. US-23 (from Columbus) dead-ended here at Chicago Pike/now Central Ave and I have pictures of when
I-475/US-23 was just starting to be bulldozed in the late 1960s to connect north from Central Ave towards Sylvania.
