My old home place where I grew up from 1951 until we sold it in 1965. originally the old Annie Black residence. I was always told it was a "pre-fabricated" home that was brought in by train about 1918 or so.

We moved into this house sometime between 1946-48. I know I attended 1st grade from this house in a one room school in 1948. We had a small coal mine about 100 yards to the left of the picture. The hill in the background was originally an apple/pear orchard.
We used to play on the old abandoned rail bed that ran parallel to the bottom of the picture about where the little white structure is today.
My brother and I buried two large crocks full of arrowheads for safe keeping near the large silver maple tree. Never could find it after we buried it.
Our grandpa said the house was a Montgomery Ward house that came on two railroad cars. I remember that the eaves were made from cedar. Great place to grow up.

Originally built around 1915 for Josiah terril, my great great uncle and his wife. Annie black was his wife's sister from germany, who survived both of them when they died in the early ninteen thirties.
