My grandfather built this house in probably 1911. My mother and her younger sister were born here and there were 3 more sisters and 2 brothers older. The farm was sold when both parents died so someone else owned it until 1948 when the youngest sister and family bought it at auction. Their daughter was born here in 1950 and there were 3 older brothers. Now the daughter has torn down all the buildings and built a new house on the west side behind where the barns were. (This all happened in the summer of 2017) and my son bought the farmland so it is still in the original family's possession. We had many good times over the years and I really miss seeing the house that was there all those years.
I think my comment from above kind of covers that. The daughter who built the new house came back here to care for her aging parents and became the new owner. Her mother died in the same room that she was born in and that happened about 3 years ago. Lots of memories.
