I believe this home was originally owned by Johann Heinrich Brinkmann in the mid-1800's. He was my great-great-grandfather. His son, Johann Heinrich (known then as John Henry) Brinkmann inherited it from him. And my grandfather, Harry Edward Brinkman, inherited it from him. During the Great Depression of the 1930's, my grandfather was unable to keep it so it was lost from the family.
Rieman homestead. I grew up here. My great grandma Apollonia Rieman Verhoff lived here then my grandparents Elmer and Marijane Rieman then my parents Jerry and Darcie Rieman. It has changed a lot, but the back barn is still there.
