My husband was born in this house, and he lived here until we married in 1976. Then we moved a couple hundred yards down the road until his dad died, and we bought the farm from the rest of the family. We lived here and raised our girls here from 1986 until about 5 years ago, when we bought the house my father-in-law was born in, in 1904. Now my husband's nephew lives here with his family. This farm has been in the Horstman family since the depression. The house had a major remodel in the early 90;s, and was added to again last year. The grain bins are gone, and there is a 100 cow free stall barn to the left of the existing barn. There is a new milk house over there now too, and they milk about 115 cows there 3 times a day.
