North Bridge Street at Hopetown Road

This used to be the Gaslight Inn Restaurant and corner market.

The left half of the building was AstroMart, the restaurant was in the right half.

Astro Mart store and Gaslight Inn restaurant! Dr Robert Tatman owned the Red Barn and that's my dads garden in behind the barn.....he let us use the garden area as payment for mowing for him. We lived in the house to the right of the barn. My brother and I waited on the school bus in the Astro Mart most mornings!

yes I do.. I lived on Marietta. road..I traveled this road a lot. I use to live in the house at the end that burned down. My grand pa went to Hopetown a lot.. and I can remember how happy we were to have a store that we could get things without going in town.. When I worked in 1973 and so on. I would stop and get the newspaper every day
