This farm was owned by Carl and Hazel Whitten. It was a Depression Era government farm and the house and barn were provided. In the 1960's, Carl added a new kitchen, bedroom and bathroom to the back of the house. After Hazel's death, Carl sold the farm in the late 1980's. The house and 5 acres sold separately from the original 100 acres.
