Was this farm originally owned by someone in the Havens family? I am related to the Havens family from Sandusky County.
A Nov 13 1962 p6 Fremont News-Messenger story (with photos) about putting up the Flights End Farm Sign sign mentions Charles & Marjorie Smith Havens, Bill, Jim & John Havens, TWA pilot Capt. Don M. Smith, Louise Wolfe Smith, Ralph Smith, Glendale & Howard Allison. I have a connection to Louise Wolfe Smith and Marjorie Smith Havens.
My great-grandmother was Claribel Havens Lanning of Burgoon. Her father was Elmer Ray Havens. His father was John F. Havens. I have a 3rd great-grandmother named Mary E. Allison Shull. I also have another 3rd great-grandmother named Sidney Smith Meek. I couldn't find any of the names you listed in my tree but it's still a work-in-progress. Probably are related somehow if they were all living in the same general vicinity of Sandusky county.
