The original Vern and Allie Purdy farm. Elmo and Nellie Mougey Purdy. This is the corner of 139 and 335 (Purdy Corners). The original farm stretched from beyond high street in Minford to Muletown. A tornado damaged the house and the brick ranch of today (Helen Purdy Denning) was constructed (Nellie Purdy) behind the 3 Maple trees which stood for many years. Land was given to each daughter (Helen Purdy Denning) on 335 side and (Esther Purdy Jenkins) on the 139 side where houses now sit. Lots on 335 side heading north were sold to Willard Gahm, and Connie Scott where houses now sit. The last 17 acre parcel of the farm (field in picture) is owned by family (great grandson David and Jamie Jenkins) on which a house was constructed.
