I lived on this farm from 1951 until 1961. My father, Chester Kilgore, bought the farm from the Mr. Zores. The main change I see is that the garage that was facing Back Run Road that was in front of the corn crib is no longer there. Also some of the trees are missing. this old farm house brings back a lot of memories more good then bad. It was a harsh life but it was harsh times.my mother died in 1959 and my father sold the farm soon after I graduated from high school.

My father worked at the Detroit Steel Mill in New Boston for 44 years, he was an electrican and a crane operator my mother was a housewife and gave birth to 11 children, I was the youngest borned in 1943 the oldest child was was 21 years older then myself. We had a lot of family get togethers eating good country food and making home made ice cream. Oh how nice it was to be a part of a large family , mom played the pump organ, brothers on guiltars and sister played an alto sax and my dad play a ( as he called it) a mouth organ.
