This was 3639 Mentzer Church Road five miles outside of Convoy. I grew up here. It's just a field now. At the time this picture was taken, my parents lived here. That's my dad's truck in the driveway. In the bottom right was an old oak tree that was cut down in the mid to late 90s. I counted the rings when the farmer cut it down and it was more than 200 years old. Mom has laundry on the line, and I think the family dog Sheba also is in that picture. That was a great place to grow up and explore. We even had a pony. One by one, each building started to fail until it was converted into farmland about 7 or 8 years ago. Sad, but at least it's not a subdivision or that awful polluting industrial cow farm that's down the road. Mom and dad have this picture in the living room of their new home. It's nice to see. Thank you for taking this then and sharing it now.
