At the time, this was Lebanon High School. I went there for 5th-8th grade in the early 70s when it was called Berry Middle School, named after Lucile Berry, long-time Lebanon teacher. In 1964, the athletic field in the back was named after the former Lebanon High Principal and Assistant Superintendent of Lebanon Public Schools John Cecil Vian (1904-1963).

Also the School where the movie Harper Valley PTA was filmed!

Going to get a major upgrade on the inside in the coming year. Taught here from 1978 - the late 90's when it was used for grades 6-8 and later just just 7-8.The 7th and 8th graders eventually moved to Miller Rd. when a brand new Lebanon High School was built.

Graduated from there in 1965. Worked for: General Electric Heavy Military Electronics Plant Syracuse NY 1968-1970. AT&T BELL LABORATORIES Columbus OH 1970-2002. Continental Office to present, will retire Jan 13, 2017.

I lived in the house where Oakwood dead ended at the football field before Dunlevy School was constructed, and Water Street extended to the school. Our family watched as the Berry addition was built on the old High School.

My dad painted the Warrior mascot in the gym.

I attended 5th grade here, and then came back for junior high and high school. I lived behind the football field, through the woods, and over a creek. That was our shortcut to school.

Doug: I did not realize that your father painted the Warrior mascot in the Berry gym. That is very cool!

I attended 6-11 grade. Many memories. Was the first class (1970) to graduate from the new high school on Miller Road May 1970.

He’s my grandpa!

He also invented the electric scoreboard. My dad helped him with it.

Susan Vian: that is so cool! Thanks for sharing!
