I don't recall the family name but this was the farm that sat on the west side of US 22/3 (Montgomery Road) at the intersection of 22/3 and the eastern dogleg portion of Fields Ertel Drive. In the pic you can see where Fields Ertel intersected with 22/3 here. This portion of Fields Ertel is now called Connecticut Drive and borders the Meijer property and 22/3. The barn across the street was preserved for many years and was used as a popular local restaurant called Toots. Sadly, the beautiful old barn was razed just 3-4 years ago and in its place now sits a bank building which is square and has zero architectural appeal and significance as this old barn had. At the bottom right of the picture across the road is the beginning of the property where the Somerset Presbyterian Church stood.
Miss Toots.
