I was born in this log house. It is at the end of Deer Mountain Lane, off Dibert Rd. It is very old, and I believe it was originally built by a Croyle, one of the earliest settlers in the county. A lot of the outbuildings pictured are gone now. The barn and the small building closest to it are still there. I think it was a smokehouse. There is a spring in the lower left corner that provided water for the house. I don't know who owns this property, but they do keep it well-maintained.
