My beloved childhood home! See the statue in the upper right corner? This 14 foot statue, "The Goddess of Liberty," had been preserved from atop the old court house in Reading. My parents donated it back to the city of Reading in the 1980s, but I used to love to play on the stone base down in this meadow. The raccoons would catch crayfish in the creek and leave the shells to bleach on the stone base. And the big willow in the dead center of the picture had the best treehouse, built by my father. I believe the tree is now gone.
