The Durell Store Rte. 187 S. Durell, Bradford Co., Pa

This was my home from early childhood until I left for the Navy in 1954. It was known as the Shultz & Putnam general store, owned by my father and grandfather, Harry Putnam. The building on the right was the Grange Hall, which was the scene of various community get-togethers, and where I completed the 6th grade after the schoolhouse burned down in February of 1949. This whole property recently burned, now only a brush lot.
