July 1940 my family moved from Lock Haven to the Miller Farm owned by Charles Howard Rich, currently 494 Park Ave in the village of Woolrich.
Chatham Run flowed between the house and the main road, a wooden bridge was used to cross the run to get to the house. There were several out buildings, woodshed, pig pen, barn, chicken coop and pond where the ducks stayed. 1946 flood Chatham Run changed its course and went behind the house close to the hill. Later the workman using a large motorized shovel dug and created a waterway for the run to flow against the hill and also built an earthen dike to keep the stream within its banks.
There was remodeling done to the old house over the years, including indoor plumbing an addition to the left end of the house plus a wrap around porch from the right to the front to the left.
Also an in-ground swimming pool was added to the right of the house.
