This brick farmhouse and barn are still standing on DeSales Drive, off of Landis Mill Road in Center Valley, Upper Saucon, PA. This was the Butz farm and the hillside was used as an orchard. It is a popular sledding location for both DeSales students and locals as well.
The house is now known as Tucker House, named for J. Francis Tucker, OSFS, was one of the first students at Salesianum School, the first American Oblate, and first Provincial of the American Province.
The barn is known as Lawless Center, named for Father Thomas Lawless was an early Oblate who, as provincial treasurer, played an important role in the founding of DeSales University.
