This is the old one-room schoolhouse on Donats Peak Road. It was built in 1880 on land donated by the Fetherolf and Feinour families. It is known as either the Fetherolf Schoolhouse or the Jacksonville Schoolhouse. It was converted into a home in the 1950's. It was the country home/studio of the artist, Hubert G. Davis and his wife, Maxine, from the late 1950's until his death in 1981. The schoolhouse is currently owned by members of the Fetherolf family.
