This is the old Heiney family farm in Kresgeville, PA. It's great to see some of the buildings that are no longer standing. The original farm was 126 acres, with dairy cows, hogs, chickens and crops. The original part of the house dates back to the 1870's. Wish the open farmland still existed today.
This is the old Heiney farm located in Kresgeville, Monroe County . Living in a rural area it was cool to this picture and other farms in the area. The farm dates back to the 1870's as that's when the house was built. My family has lived their for 13 years. Now we have it as a hobby farm. The original farm was 126 acres and had 8 buildings total not counting the house. It was purchased by Thomas B. Heiney in 1919 and farmed till the 1970's. They raised dairy cows, chickens, hogs, and two work horses. Sadly not all the buildings remain, only the big bank barn, milk house, and chicken coop. Also there are a lot less trees. We've metal detected and found lots of interesting items like a pocket watch, old plow points, silver coins, and many more.
