The bridge seen in this photo carries PA 145 across the Lehigh River at a location approximately 12 miles north of Allentown. The bridge seen in the photo has been replaced with a newer bridge. The canal seen in the photo is the Lehigh Canal which was built in the early 19th century to transport anthracite coal from the area of Wilkes Barre to Philadelphia.
