Today, this is the Leck Kill Senior Living Center at 3664 Old State Road, Leck Kill, but originally this was a school. My grandparents graduated from what was then known as Park High School in 1944. I attended Leck Kill Elementary School in the 1970s. Behind the school were two basketball goals where I spent literally hundreds of hours growing up. Above the school to the south, the large field hosted dozens of football, kickball, and softball games. The woods to the east were our frontier to explore and build forts from downed branches. The Brown family lived in the house on the corner. This photo was taken facing southeast.
