This is the center of the village of Pillow in Dauphin County. State Route 225 is known as Market Street when it passes through Pillow. This series of photos shows the buildings on the south side of the street. Mulberry Alley runs across the top. The large square building in the middle at the intersection with Union Street is the National Hotel Pillow, which was established by John Boyer in 1854. The two houses to the right of the hotel are located at 189 and 183 Market Street. The building to the left is now an electrical supply store located at 167 Market Street. This photo was taken facing south.
