The home of Fredrick and Louise Mummert, my grandparents. It was originally used as one of his landscape nurseries when he bought the property in October 1953, and was also used as a "vacation" home. They moved into the house full time in Spring of 1981 after Fredrick retired. The property was sold out of our family in 2002, and has undergone many changes since then. I have many fond memories of swimming in the pond, ice skating when it was cold enough, and roaming the grounds of the property in the 1990s. Fredrick constructed a "hillbilly" golf course on the property over the years, as well as a toboggan run and later on trails through the trees named after his granddaughters/grandson.
