My boyhood home. We moved here when it was completed in 1948 and stayed 10 years. It has changed little. On the creek behind the house were the remains of what had been a water-powered mill, probably a grist mill or saw mill. In the 1800s, a large home, occupied by the Phelps family, stood here but burned to the ground before 1900.
